Why Publish a Real Estate Blog?

Real estate blogs are more than a passing fad. They are a legitimate way to grow your web presence and attract potential clients. Better still, blogs are as easy to use as an email program. If you can type an email, you can publish content to a real estate blog. A blog can also help you improve your search engine visibility, by publishing keyword-rich content on a regular basis.


How Does Your Setup Process Work?

This service is designed for real estate agents who already have a website online. Basically, we will set up the blog to function as an extension of your website. For example, if your website address is www.SampleAgentSite.com, your blog could be published under a sub-domain such as www.SampleAgentSite.com/blog or www.SampleAgentSite.com/news.

There are many advantages to publishing the blog onto your own website domain like this. For one thing, you have control over the content because it will be published onto a web domain that you own (instead of being published to a domain owned by Blogger or WordPress. Putting the blog onto your web domain also gives us more creative freedom to customize the blog.


What Blogging Program Do You Use?

We use Blogger with this setup service. The Blogger program (owned by Google) is easy to install and customize, and it will rarely give you any problems. We use Blogger for our marketing blog and our home buying blog (among others).


How Do You Customize the Blog?

Once your real estate blog is up and running on your website, we will customize it with your logo, your headshot, and your website's color scheme. Your blog will obviously look like a blog, but we make it "mesh" with your main website by carrying over the look and feel of the website. Click here for examples


What Does the Training Include?

Blogging is easy. If you can create a Word document, you can publish content to a blog. Even so, we will provide 1-on-1 training over the phone to teach you how to use your blog properly. You'll learn your way around the blog's interface, how to publish content, how to include hyperlinks and images, and much more. We will also give you some tips for making your blog more visible to search engines!


What Do I Need to Get Started?

You need an existing website with access to the website's hosting account. In order for us to set up the blogging program properly, you will need to provide your web hosting login information (user name and password). Without this information, we cannot install the blog program. That's really all you need.


What's This About Writing the First Article?

As part of our blog setup service, we will write the first blog post / article for you. This helps us with the design process as well, because a blog without content just doesn't look right. So a free add-on to this service, we will create a well-written blog post to get you started. The nature of the article will be something along the lines of home buying tips, home selling tips, etc. You will be able to edit the post as you see fit.


How Much Does All This Cost?

This cost of our real estate blog setup service is $749. Half is due in advance, and the other half is due upon project completion (after you've had your training session). This price includes everything mentioned above — the setup process, the design customization, the training call, and the first blog post we will write for you.
