Winning the Real Estate Blog War

The Back Story
Real estate blogs have exploded in popularity and usage over the last couple of years. Three years ago, only a small percentage of real estate agents were using blogs as part of their marketing / communication mix. But since then, the number of real estate bloggers has increased tenfold or more.

The Challenge
The early adopters of real estate blogs found them to be a useful tool for online communication. But they also found blogs to be a godsend in the ongoing quest for search engine ranking / visibility. But as more and more agents join the world of real estate blogs, it becomes increasingly difficult to blog your way up the search engine ranks.

After all, there are only ten spots on the first page of search engine results for any given phrase. So if 200 agents are blogging in your town, you only have a 1-in-20 chance of putting your blog on the first page of search engine results ... and a 1-in-10 chance of landing within the first two pages of search results. (Most people do not look beyond the second page of results when using search engines.)
