The phrase "real estate advertising" can have several meanings, depending on what is being advertised. But in general, the phrase applies to one of two things — advertising real estate property, or advertising real estate services:
Advertising Property: In this sense, real estate advertising is the act of promoting a piece of property in order to increase the likelihood of a sale.
Advertising property can take many forms, such as listing postcards, house flyers, yard signs, MLS listings, open houses and more. The goal of this form of real estate advertising is to attract buyers and make a sale.
Advertising Services: In this usage, real estate advertising is when a real estate agent promotes his or her services. Now, the focus has shifted from the property to the individual agent. Real estate advertising is often used interchangeably with real estate marketing.
